Dog ownership encompasses two crucial aspects: fulfilling their instinctual needs and nurturing their interpersonal relationships. Meeting their instinctual needs involves providing adequate physical exercise, mental stimulation, and emotional well-being. This includes engaging in activities that tap into their natural instincts, such as scent work, agility training, or interactive play. The challenge lies in balancing their energy levels, ensuring they receive the appropriate amount of exercise and mental challenges to prevent boredom and destructive behavior.
The other aspect is fostering healthy interpersonal relationships. This involves teaching dogs to understand and respond to social cues, respect boundaries, and exhibit self-control. It requires consistent training to develop impulse control, inner discipline, and a calm temperament. Building a strong bond with our dogs through positive/negative reinforcement, trust, and clear communication is vital.
Navigating the challenges of dog ownership can be demanding, but the rewards are immeasurable. By satisfying their physical, mental, and emotional needs, we provide them with a fulfilling and enriched life. Simultaneously, by honing their interpersonal skills, we create a harmonious and well-behaved companion. With dedication, patience, and a deep understanding of our dogs' needs, we can meet these challenges head-on and experience the joys of a strong and mutually rewarding relationship.
My dog was aggressive and anxious when I first adopted him. I was basically in tears when i called Chris with Souls for Paws. He took on my pup for behavior training and within days I saw a difference. I like that he comes and works with both the pup and the owner. I was able to properly enforce the training that Chris did with my pup. He is wonderful. I would 100% recommend him if you are having problems with your dog. Don't give up hope!!!

We were so nervous leaving our fur babies for such a long time but Chris stayed at our home with our 4 very spoiled and needy fur babies for 9 long days. He was AWESOME!! He sent us several videos daily and was very quick to respond to any messages we sent him. He was even so kind to check our mail and water the plants so they wouldn't die in the heat. Chris is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We will definitely be using him again for any of our pet needs.

Chris has been phenomenal with our dog! We had adopted our dog and it was a challenge to deal with her bad habits. Things have changed and we are grateful!

Christopher began working with my aggressive hard to handle 100lb anatolian shepherd/great Dane mix back in February, I am now able to take her on hikes without fear she'll attack other animals. He is a godsend! I would recommend him to everyone!!!

Going strong two years, Diesel loves his trainer Chris! Watching Diesel go out with his bff's on adventures and follow Chris' lead and instruction increases my own confidense when alone with Diesel! The ongoing training support Chris give me when I have behavior issues with Diesel is priceless, always on point!

I highly recommended Chris, if you're in need of a dog sitter. Our dog is a rescue, and tends to be aggressive/ nervous around new people. Chris was not too concerned, and did great with him. He kept us updated with videos of his interactions with Bandit. We will definitely use him again! .

I hired Chris to train my dog. I have to say I'm just blown away at the results. It was almost overnight, and I love the mentality Chris has. He is so much different then all the other training programs I've seen. I love how he addresses "the inner animal" and takes care of the dogs natural instincts. It makes so much sense now, and my dog is better than ever.
